Propionic Acid

Propionic acid is an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid. It is a clear, colorless flammable liquid with pungent odor and is soluble in water and alcohol. Propionic acid is widely used as an antifungal agent in food . Other applications include nickel electroplating solutions,perfumes, artificial flavors, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing propionates.
